Italy is more than a place.

It’s a living story — of families, traditions, food, and culture that have shaped generations.

Very much like the stories that once lived in this house with this family.

But today, much of that story risks being lost. Traditions fade, regional knowledge disappears, and heritage becomes something remembered, not lived. Even the dialects are becoming extinct.

ITALUS exists because this culture cannot wait. It deserves to be practiced, shared, and celebrated, not preserved behind glass. Our next generation is already doing this work; they just need the proper stage to amplify their knowledge, artistry, and passion for carrying Italian heritage forward.

My path began with hands and craft — first in mamma’s kitchen at the young age of 2, in  workshops and in the lands of artisans across Italy, then a career in jewellery, and later, during the pandemic, back in the kitchen in a different way: sharing Italian culture through food as a private chef. Every table I set, every meal I created, every story I told around it taught me something vital: culture only survives when it is experienced, passed on, and made relevant. Through this, I realized more needed to be done, work that could not happen in a kitchen alone.

From the experiences I've cultivated over four decades, ITALUS was born. What started in the kitchen and at tables, became a mission — a way to connect people globally to Southern Italy’s heritage, ensuring that its traditions places and traditions are lived and carried forward.

ITALUS matters because heritage matters. Because food, stories, rituals, language, history and craftsmanship are not just memories — they are the foundation for the next generation of Italians everywhere, and for anyone who loves this culture.

This is why ITALUS exists, and why every person who joins, supports, or partners with us becomes part of keeping this living tradition alive for future generations.
